The Gili islands (Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno and Gili Air) lie off Lombok's north-west coast. There is no airport on them, so you go by road to the harbour, then by boat.
The route in two steps
Step 1: drive from Lombok International Airport to Bangsal Harbour on the north-west coast. This takes about 2 hours by private car.
Step 2: take a boat from Bangsal to your island. Crossings are short, and boats run through the day. Check the latest schedule and ticket prices at the harbour.
Plan around your boat time
Tell your driver your boat time or the time you want to arrive, and the pickup is planned around it.
If you land late, consider whether the last boat still leaves. When in doubt, ask us on WhatsApp before you book.
Luggage and group size
A private MPV fits up to 3 passengers with luggage. For 4 to 10 passengers we send a minibus.
On the islands there are no cars. Pack so that you can carry or wheel your bag over sandy paths.
